Sometimes it is faster to say what you want than to type it. Speak your brief into the chat, check the transcript, and send it. WPOS builds it on the live page exactly as if you had typed it.

Speak a request

1

Start recording

With the chat box empty, click the microphone button at the right of the chat box. (The same button becomes Send once there is text in the box.) The first time, your browser asks for permission to use the microphone. Allow it.
2

Say your brief

A waveform shows WPOS is listening. Describe the change the way you would type it, for example:
3

Confirm or cancel

Confirm to place the transcript in the chat box, or cancel to throw it away.
4

Check and send

Read the transcript, fix anything that was misheard, and send it.
Once sent, a spoken request works like any other: WPOS checks the site, builds on the live page, and reports back in the chat.

Tips

  • Speak in English. Voice input transcribes US English.
  • Be as specific as you would be in writing. Name the section, the colors, and what the button should do. A clear sentence out loud gives the same result as a clear sentence typed.
  • Use a supported browser. Voice input uses your browser’s built-in speech recognition. Chrome, Edge, and Safari support it. If the microphone button does nothing, check the microphone permission for your wp-admin site, or try one of those browsers.
